Lionsgate sets up Haggis for the ‘Next Three Days’

Lionsgate have set Haggis to work on The Next Three Days first, by doing the script transfer and then by lensing sometime in August.

Paul Haggis and the house that made a mint on his Oscar winning film are re-teaming on the remake of a French thriller that was released in late 2008 and I would bet will never see the day of light on this part of the Atlantic. Pour Elle (see the trailer below) stars Diane Kruger and Vincent Lindon and was helmed by first time filmmaker Fred Cavaye. The picture received middle of the road reviews from French critics (a 3 out of 4 from Positif and a dismal review from Les Inrockuptibles). Lionsgate have set Haggis to work on The Next Three Days first, by doing the script transfer and then by lensing sometime in August.

The Next Three Days centers on an ordinary couple finding themselves in an unthinkable situation and having to make desperate choices that will test the limits of love and alter their lives forever.

Haggis and Michael Nozik will produce from the production entity Highway 61 Films, along with Marc Missonnier and Olivier Delbosc of Fidélité Films.
