Myriad make ‘Mother’ of a deal for Argento film

I'm not sure if it was a planned trilogy, but perhaps many of you have been waiting a while to see Dario Argento close his series – Myriad Pictures will handle the theatrical release and a DVD shelf campaign will be handle by the folks at The Weinstein Company.

The Mother of Tears is part three of the “Three Mothers” trilogy that includes 1977's “Suspiria” and 1980's “Inferno.” Archaeology student Sarah Mandy (Asia Argento, the director's daughter) opens an ancient urn that releases the demonic forces of a powerful witch. Havoc explodes in the streets of Rome as waves of suicide and violent crime herald the dark priestess' rebirth. The Age of Witches is at hand, but Sarah is the only one who can save the world from descending into a hellstorm of supernatural chaos.
