Von Trier sells his soul to the ‘Antichrist’

Date:

After Danish language comedy The Boss Of It All, Lars von Trier is taking on the horror genre with Antichrist – this time as Screen Daily reports he has asked the help from Anders Thomas Jensen to help complete the script. What is curious about this headline is that apparently von Trier once made a point at claiming that Jensen's work as a screenwriter was too contrived and trivial.

The film to be shot in the English language, is set in nature and based on the theory that it was Satan, not God, who created the world.

Director behind The Green Butchers and Adam's Apples, Jensen most recently wrote the characters in Red Road (to be released by Tartan in April) and the screenplay for After the Wedding (to be released by IFC in March).
