WKW is definitely not ready. Pedro isn't feeling the pressure to deliver and according to Screen Daily, Terence Davies, Andrea Arnold and Philippe Garrel would apparently still be stuck in post and would be tipped for a Fall premiere.
Pyramide, the French sales agent and theatrical distribution had a great Cannes last year repping films that collected prizes in: A Screaming Man and Ano Bisiesto. This year they've got another Bruno Dumont film (see pic above), the closing film in the UCR section with Andrey Zvyagintsev's Elena and Ismael Ferroukhi receives an invite as well for Free Men in a Cannes' section that we figure isn't really part of the festival since there are no official press screenings made available.
The European Film Academy have nominated five films for the Discovery Award - which recognises a director’s first full length feature film. Previous winners include Bruno Dumot's La vie de Jésus (1997), Laurent Cantet's Human Resources (2000), Andrey Zvyagintsev's The Return (2003) and last year the award went to the very deserving Steve McQueen's Hunger.
