Kim Ji-woon Has Hollywood in Sights With ‘The Last Stand’ and ‘The Tomb’

Date:

Another Korean filmmaker is trying to make a move into the golden arches of Hollywood. Director Kim Ji-woon, whose last two films “I Saw the Devil” and “The Good, the Bad, the Weird” put him on a list of Korean directors to watch out for, might just have a former governor as his next lead star. Arnold Schwazenegger is considering starring in one of Kim’s next two films, “The Last Stand” and “The Tomb“.

Kim Ji-woon’s next film to go into production “The Last Stand” is about a border agent who hunts down drug smugglers in Mexico. Liam Nelson was previously slotted for the lead role, but dropped out for unknown reasons. Kim Ji-woon earned the Director’s Award at the Fantasporto International Film Festival in Portugal last month.
