Mother Storm: Sarah Paulson Takes Over for Claire Foy in Joines/Crouse’s “Dust”

Date:

First presented as a potential Claire Foy-starring project, we’ll now see Sarah Paulson topline Will Joines and Karrie Crouse‘s directorial debut. Backed by Searchlight Pictures, Dust was also confirmed as a Hulu Original release and will move into production for August. So we’re looking at a possible drop for the fall festival season in 2023. Alix Madigan and Lucas Joaquin are producing. Paulson is also executive producing. The project was part of the Sundance Labs.

Set in the 1930’s, Dust follows a woman (Paulson) who is trapped by increasingly perilous dust storms and is haunted by her past encounters with a threatening presence and takes extraordinary measures to protect her family.

Kevin Jagernauth and I briefly discussed back when Dust was first announced. I highly encourage our readers to seek out their short film work, namely the superb Com Truise: Propagation.
