Three Stooges Sign up Penn as Larry, Carrey as Curly
With a release date set, and the project lingering for the longest time, you can bet that MGM made it worth their while for the possibility of seeing the double Oscar winning Sean Penn to play Larry, and for Jim Carrey to play Curly in the revived Farrelly brothers' dream project. The Three Stooges can now claim to have three excellent actors on board with Carrey the one that will benefit the most from Benicio Del Toro's and Penn's current cred.
Harron to Spill the Details in ‘Diaries’
Teenage vampires are all the hype now, just ask Summit how many DVD copies of the debut film in their franchise sold this past tuesday. Mary Harron hasn't gotten her hands "bloody" since American Psycho, but will begin filming this summer in the vacant film production city of Montreal with her adaptation of Rachel Klein's novel The Moth Diaries.
Freida Pinto joins Julian Schnabel ‘Miral’
The Cinderella story continues. Plucked from obscurity without any acting chops to her credit, the very easy on the eyes Freida Pinto has gone from Danny Boyle, to Woody Allen and has now landed an acting gig with Julian Schnabel. As previously reported, she is joining the excellent Hiam Abbas, Yasmine Elmasri, Alexander Siddig and Omar Metwally, the picture will start lensing on April 19th start, and should be ready for Cannes same time next year.
