They've assembled a curious bunch of indie acting vets in Dakota Fanning, Emile Hirsch, Stephen Dorff, Kris Kristofferson and Joshua Leonard, who'll give this batch of crumbling ego a certain crispness. Hipsters' Cinematographer Roman Vasyanov makes his leap into English language film.

Rooted in his backdrop of his native Chile, I'm curious in seeing how Sebastián Silva's might move into a genre item that we normally associate to the Guillermo del Toro's of the business especially after work on minimalist portraits of The Maid and Old Cats. We like three of the actresses he has managed to package in this horror thriller.
Top 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2012: #72. Spiros Stathoulopoulos’ Meteora
Greek/Colombian helmer Spiros Stathoulopoulos blasted onto the scene with the 2007 Cannes Directors' Fortnight selected PVC-1 (one 85 minute continuous shot featuring a human time bomb). This torrid love story has been simmering in post-production for a while now, we're confident that this won't go unnoticed once it hits the festival circuit.
Top 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2012: #73. Benh Zeitlin’s Beasts of the Southern Wild
An Annenberg Film Fellowship Grant recipient and Sundance NHK Filmmaker Award winning project that was supported via the Sundance Screenwriters and Directors labs, I'm not sure what comparisons this debut feature from the Filmmaker Magazine Top 25 alumni might draw, but a rural backdrop and apocalyptic state makes me think of Jeff Nichols' Take Shelter.
