Mystery Train: Lisa Langseth & Alicia Vikander Reteam for “Euphoria”

Date:

With nice looking paycheques from her roles in Tomb Raider and Jason Bourne, Screen Daily reports that Oscar-winning actress Alicia Vikander is setting up her own production company (Vikander Productions) and re-teaming with Lisa Langseth on Euphoria. Vikander will be sharing the screen with Eva Green in the psychological drama that will be set in German Alps and will begin production in August. Patrik Andersson and Frida Bargo (Hotell) have been shepherding the project since the beginning.

Gist: The story follows two sisters (Vikander and Green) in conflict as they travel through Europe towards a mysterious destination.

Worth Noting: For her feature film debut Pure (2009), Langseth was awarded the Guldbagge (Swedish Oscars) for Best Script and Alicia Vikander won the Guldbagge for Best Leading Actress.

Do We Care?: Building back to back cred with outings Pure and Hotell, clearly there is a creative chemistry paying off in this Langseth and Alicia Vikander creative union. After slice of life portraits and normal folk quirks, we’re curious in seeing where they go from here.
