2017 Sundance Film Festival Predictions: Carlos Puga’s Full-Dress

Having creatively immersed himself as a docu producer and direct on a handful of MTV’s True Life Series,
Carlos Puga first broke into Sundance with his 2011 short Satan Since 2003 and quickly followed that up with his SXSW award winning feature film (originally titled Burma) All That I Am. Reuniting with actor Christopher Abbott, Puga began filming on his sophomore feature this past May and enlisted Robin Lord Taylor, Lina Esco, Jimmy Akingbola and Boris Krutonog has supporting characters in a film production gone wrong. A dark, meta comedy, Full-Dress might be an extension of his 2007 short going by the same name.

Gist: Two friends set out to make a movie that will change their lives, but they borrow money from the wrong guy. When they lose their star, and the production falls apart, they become aware that the situation is much graver than once thought. As their fates are decided, the audience realizes everything is not as it seems.

Production Co./Producers: Melanie Bartley, Tyler Peters, and Cru Ennis (Delirium)

Prediction: NEXT section at Sundance or SXSW showing.

U.S. Distributor: Rights Available. TBD (domestic). TBD (international)
