2022 Sundance Film Festival Predictions: B.J. Novak’s Vengeance

The Blumhouse folks have a good reputation in Park City (Secret Screening world premiere to Get Out comes to mind), perhaps actor B.J. Novak‘s directorial debut might claim the same status showing. A thriller that went into production Albuquerque, New Mexico this past March, Vengeance stars Lio Tipton, Issa Rae, Ashton Kutcher, J. Smith Cameron, and Boyd Holbrook.

Gist: Vengeance is said to follow a radio host from New York City who travels down south to investigate the overdose of a woman he’d been sleeping with but didn’t really care about and discover what happened to her, because her family wrongly thinks they were in love and because he thinks his investigation will make for a great story for his show.

Production Co./Producers: Blumhouse’s Jason Blum, Divide/Conquer’s Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilreath.

Prediction: SECRET SCREENING.

Eric Lavallée is the founder, CEO, editor-in-chief, film journalist and critic at IONCINEMA.com (founded in 2000). Eric is a regular at Sundance, Cannes and TIFF.
