Walking up and down the Croisette we are reminded of his presence at the festival with the 1965’s Pierrot le Fou and so after being included in the comp back in 2014’s Goodbye to Language, Jean-Luc Godard follows suit with The Image Book (Le livre d’images).

With grades close to perfection and some bottom of the barrel reactions, the critic divide is once again alive and well for l’enfant terrible.

Eric Lavallée is the founder, CEO, editor-in-chief, film journalist and critic at IONCINEMA.com (founded in 2000). Eric splits his time between his home base in Montreal, NYC, and is a regular at Sundance, Cannes and TIFF. He has a BFA in Film Studies at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema.
