Tayarisha Poe’s Selah and the Spades | 2019 Sundance Film Festival

Stylish, slick and super sophisticated for a micro-indie of this scale, what works marvels is Tayarisha Poe‘s the film’s narrative blue print and universe. Selah and the Spades felt like the under-the-radar Sundance secret that will undoubtedly make a brand name for the filmmaker and we’re already looking forward to what is next in store in terms of in-between feature gigs. We were on hand for a world premiere playdate at the mythic Egyptian theatre.
