Among the hundreds of hopefuls vying for one of the limited few spots in U.S Dramatic Comp/NEXT sections we’ve got a slice of life double portrait in Devyn Waitt’s Not Waving But Drowning. Recently added among the eleven projects headed over to the Gotham in Progress showcase, here’s a sampling of what this coming-of-age has to offer.

Gist: This examines a time of great chaos and change in a pair of best friends lives. In the heat of their “Revolution Summer” they shed old skins and come into their new selves, together.
