A Look at Nowhere Boy’s Aaron Johnson

If production began back in March, Sam Taylor-Wood is well into the post production process on Nowhere Boy, probably at the editing bay as I write this. No official stills have been released, but some outdoor pics were snapped featuring the film’s lead actor Aaron Johnson who takes on a younger John Lennon, as well as Anne-Marie Duff who plays Lennon’s mother.

There is a smidgen of resemblance between stock photos of Lennon and Johnson. The Weinstein Co. might be in a difficult spot right now, but we can expect to see this before the end of the year.

Written by Matt Greenhalgh, (same guy behind Control) this is based on John Lennon’s sister Julia Baird’s book Imagine This: Growing Up With My Brother John Lennon. A spirited teenager, curious, sharp and funny, growing up in the shattered city of Liverpool. Two extraordinary sisters tussle for his love – Mimi (Thomas), the formidable aunt who raised him from the age of 5 and Julia (Duff), the spirited mother who gave him up to Mimi’s care. The young future Beatle discovers his real mother lived around the corner. Yearning for a normal family, John escapes into art and the new music flooding in from the US. His fledgling genius finds a kindred spirit in the young Paul McCartney (Thomas Sangster). But just as John’s new life begins, the truth about his past leads to a tragedy he would never be able to let go.

Here is the director Taylor-Wood, Harvey, Scott Thomas who plays Mimi and Johnson.
