Brolin in land of ‘Milk’ and honey

If actor Josh Brolin was an actual IPO back at the start of the year he'd have soared like Google has. Thanks to popular supporting roles in Grindhouse, In the Valley of Elah, American Gangster, his starring role in No Country for Old Men and his memorable clueless movie-going patron in the Coens Bros.' short in Chacun son cinema has made the actor a hot property among casting agents/producers. Now Groundswell Prods. (Dan Jinks, Bruce Cohen, Michael London) and Focus Features are circling the actor for the player opposing Sean Penn's take on Harvey Milk.



Written by Dustin Lance Black and directed by Gus Vant Sant, Milk (which begins filming next month in San Fran) tales the symbolic tale about the slain San Francisco politician Harvey Milk (Penn) who along with Mayor George Moscone was killed by Dan White (Brolin) in 1978.
