From their mumblecore beginnings to indie film big leagues, the Duplass brothers are going from Puffy Chairs and Bagheads to directing a comedy for one of the rare studio indie arms that has their structure and act together in Fox Searchlight.
The green-lite project which is temporarily going by the name of Safety Man is expected to go into production in the first half of 2009 and THR reports that Marisa Tomei, John C. Reilly and Jonah Hill are in talks to star in the film.
This will center on a budding romance between a man (Reilly) and woman (Tomei) that the woman’s son (Hill) attempts to foil.
