Exclusive Clip: Christine Jeffs’ Sunshine Cleaning

Date:

Among today’s DVD releases we have Christine Jeff’s Sunshine Cleaning, a film that after it received a mildly warm reception at Sundance was expected to die a quick theatrical death – the pic took almost a full year to find a distribution deal. Overture Films came into the portrait and defied the odds with this quirky indie film: not only did it record some of the best box office numbers for an indie film this year, but it gathered plenty of traction from the batch of critics who didn’t go to the festival.

The “Fancy Corn” clip below represents some of the film’s sweeter spots that co-exists with the film’s darker offbeat humor elements. Anchor Bay Entertainment releases the DVD on the home-front with a pair of extras: Audio Commentary with writer Megan Holley and producer Greg Williamson and “Sunshine Cleaning: A Fresh Look at a Dirty Business”
