Herzog asks ‘What Have Ye Done’ with Shannon, Dafoe and Sevigny

Date:

I’m not sure if David Lynch was waiting for the perfect role to once again work with his Wild at Heart star Willem Dafoe, now he can do so has one of the producers on his special collaboration with Werner Herzog on the oddly titled My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done. Alongside we can see the seasoned actor play alongside the likes of Michael Shannon, Chloe Sevigny, Lynch regular Grace Zabriskie and enigmatic Udo Kier.

The psychological horror is loosely based on events surrounding a San Diego man who acted out a Sophocles play in his mind and murdered his mother with a sword. Filming begins next month in the California locale of Coronado Island in March.

Eric Bassett is producing and Lynch serves as executive producer.
