McGregor and Plummer take Mike Mills For ‘Beginners’

Date:

I’m squeezing all the juice out of this Production Weekly tweet. In 140 characters we now know that: the already mentioned Ewan McGregor will join the small, indie production and will be acting alongside vet thesp Christopher Plummer (The Last Station) in a project that will go by the title of Beginners.

Unlike Thumbsucker, I have a gut feeling that Mike MIlls will be working from an original screenplay. Filming is set to begin in L.A. next month, we can look forward to to this long awaited sophomore feature in 2010 – perhaps as early as Cannes? Sony Pictures Classics distributed Thumbsucker and grossed a little more than a million during its theatrical run.
