Not Kate but Cate for Indy 4

It helps that Cate Blanchett has the facial symmmetry that makes her castable for any era (a.k.a The Good German). No surprise then that the first official name to sign on to Indiana Jones 4 (obviously after Harrison Ford) is the female lead/entanglement. No clue yet on what kind of role she will play.

Depending on what kind of script was greenlite, Cate might be joined by other females such as
Kate Capshaw and Karen Allen in extremely minor roles. David Koepp's screenplay may also include names like the rumored return of Sean Connery and of John Rhys-Davies. Recently debunked were rumors that Shia LaBeouf would play Indian Jones’ son.

THR reports that Steven Spielberg will begin shooting in June in Los Angeles and at undisclosed locations around the world. Paramount Pictures will release “Indy 4” day-and-date around the world on May 22, 2008, with a handful of territories opening the following day.
