Todd Field Accused of Being ‘Hubris’?

No news is bad news, a smidgen or minor mention is great news. It’s with this small blurb about Academy Award-winning writer, director, and producer, Bobby Moresco changing agents, we find out that he is currently penning a studio project for Universal picture called Humbris – Humbris is another word for arrogance, which is not a label I would employ for the director who is attached to direct the film.

I’m all giddy because Todd Fields’ name was mentioned. For those who’ve followed his career as we have, its been a difficult road for the filmmaker – many projects since he directed In the Bedroom, have fallen by the wayside. For those who are wondering, his third film at one point in time could have been American GothicBack RoadsTime Between TrainsBlood MeridianThe Creed of ViolenceBuried, (not the film that was shown at Sundance this year) and/or Nancy & Danny. Click here if you are curious to know more on the above mentioned projects. In the mean time, we’ll keep tabs on this project.
