Top 10: Repeat Offenders in Charlie Kaufman and Catherine Keener

Date:

9. Synecdoche, New York

Comments: I’m cheating here since it’s difficult to call Synecdoche, New York a reunion between a director and actress especially when this is Charlie Kaufman’s debut as a director. She played a bitchy co-worker to John Cusack in Being John Malkovich, and she plays herself in Adaptation – both directed by Spike Jonze, but penned by Kaufman. It certainly feels like Catherine Keener will be a long term muse for his future films and perhaps even some television work.
