Top 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2008: #72 Cold Souls

Date:

Cold Souls Barthes

#72. Cold Souls

Director/Writer: Sophie Barthes
Production Co.
Journeyman Pictures and Touchy Feely Films
Distributor: Currently Seeking Distribution

The Gist: In the midst of an existential crisis, a
famous American actor stumbles upon a Soul Storage, a private lab
offering New Yorkers a relief from the burden of their souls.

Fact: This was selected as part of the Sundance Institute’s 2007 Screenwriters Lab (see Sophie in action) above).

See It: Paul Giamatti in all his splendor and in a challenging role – perhaps Kaufman/Gondry territory?

Release Date/Status?:
Production is scheduled for this spring, so a late, European film
festival date is very possible – if not, we are looking at a Sundance
09′ world preem.
