Top 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2010: Todd Phillips’ Due Date

Date:

IONCINEMA.com Top 100 Films

#60. Due Date

Director: Todd Phillips
Writer(s): Alan R. Cohen, Alan Freedland and revised by Adam Sztykiel
Producers: Daniel Goldberg and Philips
Distributor: Warner Bros.

The Gist: This is about fatherhood, an expectant dad (Robert Downey Jr.) and his unlikely travel companion (Zach Galifianakis) race cross-country in hopes of making it home for the birth of his first child.….(more)

Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Zach Galifianakis, Michelle Monaghan, Juliette Lewis, Jamie Foxx and Alan Arkin.

Why is it on the list?: The Hangover might have put more money in Todd Phillips’ bank account, but I’m thinking it’ll give him more creative freedom to do as he pleases – and the best Phillips is an uncensored one. The Black List script would see Galifianakis re-team with Phillips, and the Monaghan and Downey Jr. reunion (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) assure the best chemistry possible for what Phillips does best: the road movie.

Release Date/Status?Huge release on November 5th.
