Top 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2010: Will Gluck’s Easy A

There are plenty of reasons why I never considered seeing Gluck’s debut film (Fired Up), but there are a couple of good reasons to see his next directing gig, namely better source material (Bert V. Royal’s first screenplay, a 2008 Blacklist finalist is a riot) and a not too shabby supporting cast.

The Gist: Written by playwright Bert V. Royal, this tells the story of a good-natured high school student (Emma Stone) who uses the school rumor mill to financial and personal advantage by pretending to be the school slut.

Cast: Emma Stone, Stanley Tucci, Amanda Bynes, Cam Gigandet, Patricia Clarkson, Lisa Kudrow, Thomas Haden Church.

Why is it on the list?: There are plenty of reasons why I never considered seeing Gluck’s debut film (Fired Up), but there are a couple of good reasons to see his next directing gig, namely better source material (Bert V. Royal’s first screenplay, a 2008 Blacklist finalist is a riot) and a not too shabby supporting cast.

Release Date/Status?: Currently in post-production, perhaps a SXSW preem with a summer release?
