It won’t be the first time that comics and politics merge well together, but unlike their breakout film with plenty of heart in Persepolis, Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud are working from their comicbook template and transferring this into a live-action feature. Should pan out to be arthouse worthy especially with the Euro-cast toplined by Mathieu Amalric. Go Green!

The Gist: This is a live-action adaptation of the comic book Chicken with Plums. It will tell the story of a musician who wants to die because his wife has broken his tar (Iranian lute). Release Date/Status?: Cannes would appear to be the most logical route, but I’m thinking Venice.
