Top 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2012: #70. Alan and Gabe Polsky’s The Motel Life

Producers of Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans and Elgin James’ Little Birds, my feeling is Alan and Gabe Polsky are just as shrewd about the material they picked up for their first directing gig. They’ve assembled a curious bunch of indie acting vets in Dakota Fanning, Emile Hirsch, Stephen Dorff, Kris Kristofferson and Joshua Leonard, who’ll give this batch of crumbling ego a certain crispness. Hipsters’ Cinematographer Roman Vasyanov makes his leap into English language film.

Release Date/Status?: I’m thinking this will look to premiere at a major film festival (Venice or TIFF) and a subsequent North American distribution deal should materialize.
