Weekly Eye Candy: Commercials Director Fredrik Bond

Earlier this week, commericials director Fredrik Bond signed up to helm comicbook to Rogue Pictures’ film adaptation of Hack/Slash. Bond has been attached to the remake The Host and a remake of The Hunger clearly labeling the director as a hot commodity. So who is Bond? He is this week’s Eye Candy.

Bond has been attached to the remake The Host and a remake of The Hunger clearly labeling the director as a hot commodity. So who is Bond? He is this week’s Eye Candy.

Bond began his career as a photographer and went to NYU Film School and he really broke onto the scene at the start of this decade via the video for Moby’s “Body Rock” and a string of award-winning commercials for Adidas, Skoda and Volkswagen. It’s difficult to peg Bond with a style, as he relies on a mixed bag of tricks. He’s definitely a moving camera type of director and is certainly capable of telling a story without dialogue, and I think we should expect him to include the slowing down of the frame and a wide use of high angle shots in his future films.
