Thai film was celebrated in Cannes last year with when Apichatpong "Joe" Weerasethakul won the Palme D'or with Uncle Boonmee, and next May Cannes should be seeing the other prolific Thai director in Pen-ek Ratanaruang. Nopachai Jayanama, who starred in Ratanaruang's Nymph, will be cast alongside an actress going by the name of Cris Horwang.
