Tucked away in the fresh air mountains of Telluride, Colorado is the 4 day film festival of gnarly indie, foreign film titles. Commencing today, this year appears to be a slim pickings in terms of anything fresh and not showing at either Toronto or Venice. Instead this year's bunch pulls from the quality titles at this past Cannes edition.
It will be a hometown hero's welcome at TIFF for Canadian filmmaker David Cronenberg who'll be premiering Eastern Promises - the film will get the red carpet treatment and today we've got the 2nd trailer for the film stashed behind the poster image below (click on it folks)! The Counterfeiters is Austria's entry in the foreign-language Oscar race this year and Stefan Ruzowitzky's World War II drama has a good chance at making it in the final 5 selections with Sony Pictures Classics backing the picture.
