Top 200 Most Anticipated Foreign Films of 2023: #27. Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn

Date:

Saltburn

Our take on Promising Young Woman – it was a monumental piece of cinema and was released in the perfect context. Hence Amazon comes calling. Add the likes of Barry Keoghan, Rosamund Pike, Jacob Elordi and the return of Carey Mulligan – and we have what might turn out to be a solid sophomore feature film package. Filmed last summer, Saltburn is about a grand, aristocratic English family and is a story of obsession. This was produced by Fennell and LuckyChap Entertainment’s Josey McNamara, Tom Ackerley and Margot Robbie.

Gist: The film depicts the lives of a grand, aristocratic English family.

Release Date/Prediction: We think this actually has a shot at an Out of Comp showing in Cannes – it’s a long shot.
