Distributor: Relativity Media.

The Gist: Eons after the Gods won their mythic struggle against the Titans, a new evil threatens the land. Mad with power, King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) has declared war against humanity. Amassing a bloodthirsty army of soldiers disfigured by his own hand, Hyperion has scorched Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares….(more)

Cast: Mickey Rourke, John Hurt, Henry Cavill, Stephen Dorff, Freida Pinto and Kellan Lutz

List Worthy Reasons…: I think Tarsem may have finally met his match with this huge budgeted, swords and sandals, Gods vs. humans fantasy pic. The Cell and The Fall were great calling cards that confirmed his talent, but this should confirm Tarsem’s status as a go-to filmmaker for big scale especially in the genre — it’s so up his alley if you consider some of his commercial work.

Release Date/Status?: November 11th.
