Suzanne Lindon’s ‘L’Équipe’ – Everything We Know So Far …

Date:

Daughter of Vincent Lindon and Sandrine Kiberlain, we can only assume that she might have visited a couple of sets in her youth and caught not only the acting bug, but the strong desire to both write and direct. We first became aware of Suzanne Lindon when Spring Blossom (read ★★★ review) was announced as part of the canceled pandemic 2020 edition of the Cannes Film Festival. Her delicate coming-of-age drama saw her play a 16-year-old girl who becomes infatuated with an older theatre actor. She has continued to work in front of the camera, appearing in Valeria Bruni Tedeschi’s 2022’s Forever Young (read ★★★ review), Arnaud Desplechin’s television series In Therapy (2022) and Cédric Klapisch’s Colours of Time (2025), and she co-wrote Claire Denis’ The Fence (read ★★★ review), and then re-teamed with her for Miu Miu Women’s Tales #32 short Avec Kim. Here is everything we know so far for… Suzanne Lindon‘s L’Équipe (aka The Team).

Set in the summer of 2007, fifty-five-year-old former world-renowned footballer turned coach Diego Prince goes on holiday with his only daughter, Rosalie, who’s eight. He confesses the truth to her: he has a son a few years older than her, whom he doesn’t know and didn’t want to have. Diego finally manages to share his onerous secret, but he doesn’t expect Rosalie to ask to meet the child. As it turns out, the father and daughter end up inviting 12 year-old Billy to spend the rest of the summer with them…
