Les Arcs Film Festival has unveiled the European projects selected for the Coproduction Village and this year we find the likes of Cristina Groșan, Mikko Myllylahti, Benedikt Erlingsson and Bernhard Wenger among the selected new film projects. At the same time last year we had the likes of future Venice Film Festival Orizzonti section selections of Jacqueline Lentzou’s A Day in the Life of Jo: Chapter Phaedra, Jannis Lenz’s Oasis, Jelena Maksimović’s Until The Day Ends and Rubaiyat Hossain’s The Difficult Bride among the showcased projects.
Groșan’s Ordinary Failures premiered in the Giornate degli Autori section in 2022 – the Romanian filmmaker now has Lesdenzero in the works. Finnish filmmaker Mikko Myllylahti had The Woodcutter Story premiere in the Cannes Critics’ Week, and his sophomore feature Mystery Of The Autumn Killer is now ready. Icelandic helmer Benedikt Erlingsson gave us Of Horses and Men and Woman at War, and next we find Women’s Day, while Bernhard Wenger who gave us the excellent Peacock hopefully has more in store with Last Days of Summer.
