Freshly deposited in our inbox, we’ve been directed towards a Kickstarter film project that…we’re already itching to see. Inching ever so closely to a true picture lock, the Borderline Films trio of Antonio Campos, Sean Durkin and Josh Mond are throwing some nifty perks onto Kickstarter in order to help in the editing, sounds design and mixing, and securing music rights departments for Mond’s James White.
Aside from some behind the scene stills and an intimate look at how folk look like towards the end of a film production (see the trio’s Kickstarter vid below), here is what we now know: supporting actor Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi who will write the film’s score, Matt Hannam (Enemy) has boarded the project as the film’s editor, they’ll re-team with Coll Anderson on the sound design and Randall Poster will try his darndest to lock Mond’s soundtrack wishlist.
Gist: Christopher Abbott stars as the eponymous JAMES WHITE in this frenetic coming-of-age story about a young New Yorker struggling to take control of his reckless, self destructive behavior in the face of momentous family challenges. The film is explores the close relationship between a single mother and her son.
Worth Noting: Borderline Films recently executive-produced the short, David Formentin’s Tzniut starring Louisa Krause from Martha Marcy May Marlene.
Do We Care?: This is one of the most anticipated American indie films for 2015, or quite possibly 2014, which would make this a main contender for a Venice Film Fest appearance.
