There'll soon be a casting call for young Brit and Aussie actors and actresses looking to board a psychological thriller/love story signed by an Oscar-winning scribe. Robert Jones' Jonescompany Productions will produce the Julian Fellowes adaptation of Paul Torday's The Girl on the Landing, and the pair are now on the look out for a director who can work in duel genres. Production would be set for Spring of next year.

Anne Fontaine, a filmmaker who hasn't had many problems exporting her films to the U.S. (Nathalie..., The Girl From Monaco), has began shooting her 12th feature film this week. The unlikely rom com tale about the fusion of two families stars Isabelle Huppert and Benoît Poelvoorde, who was in Fontaine's last film, Coco Before Channel.
Olive Films Getting Ready for Theatrical Birth of Benedek Fliegauf’s ‘Womb’
Olive Films will be presenting not one, but two films at TIFF next month, they've got the rights to Rafi Pitts' The Hunter, and have grabbed the highly anticipated French-German-Hungarian co-production that just preemed in Locarno. Prospects look good for Benedek Fliegauf's Womb - it stars Eva Green and works with the basic cloning/sci-fi premise.
Chris Rock to Spend ‘2 Days in New York’ with Delpy
Chris Rock, who already has a penchant for Euro cinema (he adapted the Rohmer film which gave us I Think I Love My Wife) will get to ask his director and co-lead Julie Delpy about working with the likes of Leos Carax, Schlöndorff and Krzysztof Kieslowski. Rock has been cast to play the American boyfriend role in the sequel to Delpy's 2 Days in Paris.
