Interview: Michael Pearce & Jessie Buckley – Beast

Unveiled at the Toronto International Film Festival in the Platform section with additional premieres at Sundance and Rotterdam earlier this year, Michael Pearce‘s directorial debut builds the narrative of the serial killer angle as a slow boil and parallel to this, erects a burning romance dynamic from a distance and within close proximity. One of the best screen debuts of 2017, the fiery Jessie Buckley takes on her lead character with a determined bullishness. Amir Ganjavie sat down with Michael Pearce & Jessie Buckley in Toronto. Roadside Attractions released Beast this month.
