Men with/out Guns: Robert Machoian Completing His “Characters in Desperation” Trilogy

Date:

We recently had the chance to speak to filmmaker Robert Machoian directly after the world premiere Tribeca Film Festival screening of his fifth feature film, The Integrity of Joseph Chambers. In that conversation we learned some exciting news — Machoian is currently writing what will loosely be a third chapter in a thematic trilogy that began with his masterwork, The Killing of Two Lovers (review). What could eventually be coined as a “characters in desperation” films this latest film would focus on another domestic situation. Unlike Machoian’s previous pair,  this portrait is more equal footing — a husband and wife in a longterm relationship. Actor/producer Clayne Crawford and Sound Designer Peter Albrechtsen could potentially return.
