2021 Sundance Film Festival Predictions: Peter Sattler’s Broken Diamonds

Date:

Haven’t the faintest why Peter Sattler‘s sophomore feature Broken Diamonds (formerly Love & Oatmeal) has been held off the scorecard as production was complete in the summer of 2018. Ben Platt, Lola Kirke and Yvette Nicole Brown star in Sattler’s follow up to his directorial debut in Camp X-Ray – a Sundance Film Fest selection in 2014. Steve Waverly wrote the screenplay.

Gist: This centers on Scott, a twenty-something aspiring writer who, in the wake of his father’s sudden death, sees his dream of moving to Paris put in jeopardy when he is forced to temporarily take in his wildly unpredictable, mentally ill sister.

Production Co./Producers: Black Label Media’s Molly Smith, Rachel Smith, Thad Luckinbill, and Trent Luckinbill are producing with Trina Wyatt.
