2025 San Sebastian Film Festival: Pablo Stoll, Andrés Ramírez Pulido & Alvaro Brechner Among Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum Projects

Date:

After Telluride, Venice and Toronto the next biggie film festival event will be the 73rd edition of the San Sebastian Film Festival (September 19-27) and the Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum still remains one of the most vital spotlights for upcoming projects from some of our favorite, mostly burgeoning Latin American filmmakers. Veteran Uruguayan filmmaker Pablo Stoll will be there, so will his fellow countryman Alvaro Brechner and Colombian helmer Andrés Ramírez Pulido. Best known for 25 Watts (2001) and 2004’s Whisky, Stoll presents Dad is No Punk Rocker. Brechner who was last in Venice with 2018’s A Twelve-Year Night arrives with The Lion’s Skin. Pulido who was launched in the Critics’ Week in Cannes back in 2022 with La Jauría (read review) will present Praise for Crime. Eleven of the fifteen projects are first or second films. The projects will be presented by their representatives to potential partners to complete funding and improve access to international markets.
