Always an encouraging sign when a film gets pre-bought close to a month before its world premiere. This is the case for Molly Manning Walker‘s directorial debut (#162 in our Most Anticipated Films List) which was just acquired by the Mubi folks in multiple territories including North America. Written and directed by Walker, this is a tale about the intricacies of teenage friendship and how we learn to have sex, the pic follows three British teenage girls who go on a rites-of-passage holiday – drinking, clubbing, and hooking up, in what should be the best summer of their lives. This stars Mia McKenna-Bruce, Lara Peake, Shaun Thomas, Samuel Bottomley, Enva Lewis and Laura Ambler.
As we mentioned before, this is an incredible year for Walker – she saw the film she shot as a cinematographer Scrapper play well at the Sundance Film Festival back in January.
