Based on the 2006 short film, helmer Rola Nashef has managed to find backers of all sorts for her feature version dating from the support 2007 Sundance Institute Screenwriters Lab in Jordan to a great 2011 with the IFP Feature Narrative Lab Fellow, Film Society of Lincoln Center, Emerging Visions Fellow and being selected as one of Filmmaker Magazine “25 New Faces of Independent Film”.) Politics aside, this immigrant experience drama is the type of film that Sundance will always program.

Gist: After the death of his Father years before, Sami a young Lebanese American, runs a gas station with his cousin Mike, a charismatic hustler. More than just a pit stop for rolling papers and fake perfume, but a place where the uniqueness of this neighborhood is most visible. When Najlah, a beautiful young woman, walks into the station, Sami begins to see a life beyond the confines of bulletproof glass.
