Eye Candy: Bottle Rocket (Short)

Date:

Last week’s release of the theatrical trailer, Venice festival announcement and the poster one sheet for The Darjeeling Limited reminds us that one.) the autumn movie-going season is loaded with must sees and two.) this is only Wes Anderson’s fifth feature. Way before The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Rushmore, 1996’s Bottle Rocket featured Owen and Luke Wilson’s first on-screen appearance and eventually became an indie breakout thanks to passed on used VHS copies. We went through the coffers of the internet and found this bootleg watchable quality to find the short B&W short film that served as the template for his feature length debut film.

This week’s Eye Candy is: Bottle Rocket (Short Film) 1994 and as an added bonus you have the Bottle Rocket Feature behind the scenes featurette.
