IONCINEMA.com presents: The Top 100 Must See films of 2008 (80-61)

Yesterday we commenced our countdown (we’ve got picks 100 to 81 listed below) and what might be noticeably absent is the more dramatic fair – we’ll get loads of these sort of genre films as the countdown gets to the midway point. What I like about the first chunk  of films in our five-parter is that they are more difficult to categorize and they might not have an instant following. Apart from Valkyrie, The
Box
, Crossing
Over
and Tropic
Thunder
,  the rest of these films aren’t your typical bunch. They are difficult hybrids that don’t necessarily have built-in audience appeal and the lure of a star – in most cases these are first time filmmakers or novices.
