2019 Sundance Film Festival Predictions: #25. Joe Berlinger – Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile

Date:

After being a no-show among fests in 2018, it looks like Joe Berlinger‘s Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile is poised for a Park City showcase. The project was introduced to buyers in Cannes back in 2017 with Zac Efron being pitched as Ted Bundy, and production began in January this year with quite the cast in: Lily Collins, Haley Joel Osment, Kaya Scodelario, John Malkovich, Jim Parsons, Jeffrey Donovan, Angela Sarafyan, Brian Geraghty, Dylan Baker. IndieWIRE profiled the production — reminding us that Berlinger has been working in what folks deem monsters as far back as Brother’s Keeper back in ’92.

Rooftop Films 2019

Prediction: Premiere section.
