Polar Ice: Malou Khebizi & Soundos Mosbah Cast in Hélène Rosselet-Ruiz’s Debut ‘Le triangle d’or’

Date:

Earlier this week, the folks at Cineuropa provided details on a debut film project we’ve been tracking due to its producer. This means that in 2026, we can expect not one, but two projects from the Rosselet-Ruiz sisters to be launched. We reported on Marie Rosselet-Ruiz moving into production on L’une des leurs, and her twin Hélène Rosselet-Ruiz has set Malou Khebizi (Wild Diamond – read review) and Soundos Mosbah for Le triangle d’or. If all goes well, both films would likely be Cannes submissions. Production began late last month. Ziad Bakri and Kassem Al Khoja complete the cast. Producers Nancy Grant and Les Films de Pierre’s Marie-Ange Luciani (Anatomy of a Fall) are involved while David Chambille is the cinematographer.

Written by Rosselet-Ruiz and Pauline Guéna, the centers around Laura who’s hired to help Souria, a rich, young Saudi woman who lives in a luxurious apartment in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, before the former joins the army. In this gilded prison, Laura and Souria each try to escape their condition in their own way. But something unexpected happens between these two women who, to all intents and purposes, are polar opposites
