2026 Oscars: Trier, Filho, Panahi, Laxe & Hania Nominated for Best International Feature Film

The NEON folks have four Cannes competition film horses in the race and the Venice Film Festival’s Silver Lion winner completes the quintet of noms in the Best International Feature Film category. With additional nominations in the Best Picture category and acting categories, it looks like Sentimental Value and The Secret Agent are leading the charge. So there you have it: Joachim Trier‘s Sentimental Value (read review), Kleber Mendonça Filho‘s The Secret Agent (read review), Jafar Panahi‘s It Was Just an Accident (read review)., Oliver Laxe‘s Sirāt (read review) and Kaouther Ben Hania‘s The Voice of Hind Rajab (read review) are the five noms.
