Colombian filmmaker Laura Mora‘s second feature film tackles the victimization discourse to a whole other level. When there is an infrastructure that allows for crime, is it really the person who fired the gun that is the immoral one? With Killing Jesus (Matar a Jesús), Mora moves beyond the revenge drama and takes a thoughtful, critical look at her dwellings. Landing at the Toronto International Film Festival (with subsequent screenings on the film fest circuit with a pair of wins at San Sebastian), I had the chance to sit down with the filmmaker last September.
