2022 Sundance Film Festival Predictions: Tom George’s See How They Run

Date:

Depending how Searchlight plays its hand for the 2022 slate, we could easily see See How They Run set up for Sundance or play the wait game until TIFF. Tom George‘s directorial debut comes after working on different Brit television projects for the past decade include his most recent series: three seasons of rural Britain with “This Country.” Written by Mark Chappell, production took place earlier in the year with a heavyweight cast of Saoirse Ronan, Sam Rockwell, David Oyelowo, Adrien Brody, Ruth Wilson, and Harris Dickinson.

Gist: Set in the West End of 1950s London, where plans for a movie version of a smash-hit play come to an abrupt halt after a pivotal member of the crew is murdered. When world-weary Inspector Stoppard (Sam Rockwell) and eager rookie Constable Stalker (Saoirse Ronan) take on the case, the two find themselves thrown into a puzzling whodunit within the glamorously sordid theater underground, investigating the mysterious homicide at their own peril.

Production Co./Producers: Gina Carter, Damian Jones.

Prediction: PREMIERES.

U.S. Distributor: Searchlight Pictures.
